Historically they're also always the last to release! An economist friend of mine says there's huge game theory moves behind decision-making calendars... (take note of when each school sends out results & also when they schedule their visit weekends!) Northwestern's has already happened, before some people have even heard back from their "ideal" programs.

Theorist here — staying optimistic since I haven't heard yet either, but it seems that Cornell historically sends out rejections a few days (or weeks) after acceptances...Not over til it's over, but good chance it's over

Rise and shine! We live to see another day. Based on release dates next year, the next schools to release are the big names: Yale (2/20), Harvard (2/21), and Penn (2/23). So, hopefully, all results will be out by the end of the week! Wishing everyone good luck with their remaining schools, and here's to hoping that at the very least, we'll all have a decent idea of how things look soon!

Hi Omkar, got the email ~4 hours ago. Still giggling and kicking my feet... In political theory, admissions interviews are relatively uncommon (frankly, grown-up theorists also prefer to write each other rather than talk). AFAIK Hopkins used to be one of the only schools who interviewed theorists (and that's more so to understand if they match Hopkins' Critical Theory focus). Berkeley seemingly decided to interview across all sub-fields this year, including theorists.
