Well I have an update on my wait-list status at Notre Dame. I received a phone call today relating that the professor I desire to work with would like to meet with me before he goes to France. They will pay for the journey. Any thoughts on this?
I am waitlisted at Notre Dame. I was contacted by the director of graduate studies notifying me that primarily due to financial constraints the department has to admit fewer students this year. Thus, I am on a waitlist of no more than three student alternates. I am unsure whether this is good or bad.
Well my interests are rather varied. I have applied to programs for French political and social history, particularly in light of Anglo-French relationships, in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries, with particular interest in the Bourbon Restoration.
