Has anyone had an interview with Pratt that might be willing to share a little bit about their experience? I have my interview with them this week and am a little nervous to speak to two profs together since the rest of my interviews have been one on one. Not necessarily looking for specific questions they asked if that's too personal, just the overall focus/style of the interview!

I know Rutgers has already sent out interview requests, but has anyone received an official rejection yet?

I haven’t heard from then either and am also assuming a rejection. Nothing in spam or the portal though—maybe they send out notifications in batches as they review applications? I think SVA did that but not sure if it’s a common thing.

No word on financial aid for me—which is definitely a requirement before I commit anywhere! And unfortunately no information about a timeline for financial aid notification either

Congratulations!! What discipline? I don’t know if I was just clueless but this is surprising to me!! Does anyone happen to know if this is a common thing among MFA programs? I’m sure many accept more applicants than there are available spots in the program but this almost makes me feel like it’s a race to enroll—and I still haven’t heard from several other schools I applied to!

Got accepted to SVA today! Kind of curious about one line in the acceptance email though—they said that enrollment fees will only be accepted if space remains in the chosen program. Does this mean if I choose to enroll closer to the deadline there’s a chance they’d rescind my acceptance if all the spots are full? Is this common practice for MFA programs?

oh noooo I thought I was safe for the rest of the night!! it’s my first year applying too (also for painting) and I can’t stop refreshing my inbox. agony

I feel like it’s less likely after 5pm on the east coast but fingers crossed for good news for everyone today!!!

Just got the rejection email from Hunter but feel weirdly okay about it—kind of assumed when other people posted that they received invited a few days back. Has anyone heard from BU, Pratt, or Rutgers?

I am nowhere near mentally prepared!!! Still can’t wrap my head around the idea that it could be any day now. Do they typically send out rejections and interview invites simultaneously? For some reason I thought they sent out rejections a few days later based on previous years’ threads but could definitely be getting it mixed up

First time posting but thought I might as well share: This is my first time applying--less than 2 years out from undergrad so I wasn't super optimistic but surprisingly happy with my results so far. Applied for painting for all programs (unless interdisciplinary) SVA: Interviewed MICA: Received interview invite this morning, scheduled for next week Hunter: nothing yet (and based on others' posts that they've received invites I'm expecting a rejection) Yale: nothing yet BU: nothing yet Pratt: nothing yet Rutgers: nothing yet Fingers crossed for the rest and good luck everyone!!!
