  1. has anyone heard back from the Hunter waitlist?
  2. Hi, I also applied and felt my interview went very well so I would be surprised if I didn't get in -- have not heard anything yet. Maybe Monday?
  3. I don't know anything about printmaking but my understanding is Yale is considered the gold standard for MFA programs and will be more affordable.
  4. I am currently waitlisted at Hunter but also between those two schools so curious what you end up deciding! I have heard a lot of waitlisted students get in, which is a bit of a red flag to me because it means a lot of accepted students end up going elsewhere... Not sure what the turnover for Columbia's waitlist is like. BTW, Columbia's MFA show opens at the end of the month.
  5. Right I hear they are way more generous with aid. Congrats again and good luck!!
  6. O nice congrats! How is Yale with financial aid/scholarships? They don't do full rides right?
  7. Oh wow really! Where are you thinking of going instead?
  8. Thanks for your perspective. The cost is definitely a downside but some people have gotten good aid packages, someone I know took out about $20k/year in loans. I didn’t connect with the interviewers who interviewed me Hunter as much as Columbia however, things didn’t “click” if that makes sense vs really getting along with the Columbia faculty. That said I have been waitlisted for Hunter so I’m not sure that’s even an option! It seems like a great program.
  9. Thankkk you! Will give it a shot
  10. Yes I have. I’ve gotten aid but want to negotiate for more. Wondering how to approach those convos
  11. Does anyone have any resources on how to negotiate aid? I don’t have any good competing offers yet unfortunately. This is for Columbia and none of the other schools I applied to are better
  12. I got into Columbia waitlisted by Hunter — would love to hear people’s thoughts on these two and for those accepted which you are leaning towards
  13. Has anyone been accepted into Hunter's program? I was waitlisted and wondering when those accepted need to make a decision by
  14. Where on the portal did you see your decision? And what did it say?
  15. I haven't heard back from Hunter yer, I had an interview with them. It seems like others have said they've heard from rutgers but not sure
  16. Bard emailed me back saying that first round interview requests are out. They don’t send official rejection letters till April as there is still a chance for an interview if someone rejects a position
  17. Has anyone heard from bard?? here’s my list so far columbia - accepted pratt photo - interview hunter - interview sva - interview bard - nada!
  18. Thank you!
  19. Does anyone have any thoughts or experiences with Columbia MFA Visual Arts(photo), Pratt MFA - Photo, Hunter, Parsons MFA - Photo or SVA? How do these schools compare?
  20. They responded: "Thank you for your message! Please keep up to date with the Bard MFA admissions timeline on our website: https://www.bard.edu/mfa/calendar/ No final admissions decisions have been made at this time. We wish you the best of luck with your application." So, still unclear but it sounds like the interview requests were sent out yesterday.
  21. Nope, also waiting and checking this forum. I just emailed them to see if they had sent out the requests as it said they were supposed to on their site today, but they could be running behind
  22. I had an interview with Columbia and was accepted, waiting to get back my financial aid info
  23. I can! DM me I've been accepted to Columbia so far and have interviews with Hunter, SVA, Parsons. Waiting to hear from Bard and Pratt
