@AstroGator Your row says selected on the spreadsheet, when did your status update to selected?I'm not sure late March updates are a strong indicator this cycle since so many are getting them. There could be another round of updates this week.
-
I'm looking at the 2020/21 which is the closest pattern with most data. Not a bad sign because many people with one March update got selected. However, all people who were not selected or waitlisted given a March update had a single update.
-
I didn't get 3/26 update. 2020/21 also had similarly many March updates. Only one agency makes the final decision on award/waitlist/reject leading to different dates at different stages (3/13, 3/18, 3/19), (3/25, 3/26). I think there could be a potential 3/27 update (if two branches hadn't coincided dates) before a final notification on Friday 3/28.
-
Did you also get the 3/25 update?
-
3/25 update but still says under evaluation. Going by previous year's trends this would be the last update before decisions.
-
I think a lot more people could have gotten the 3/13 update but weren't checking until after 3/18

Everyone across branches and fields who received a March update got the 3/18 update, indicating its significance. The 3/13 and 3/19 updates remain unclear, with only one person receiving 3/13 and two receiving 3/19. Notably, no one in fields including Chemistry or CS across branches has received a March update yet, which is unexpected. Last year, all March updates happened on four specific days, with decisions following the day after the fourth update. So far this year, three March updates have occurred. I previously suspected that each update corresponds to an action by a military research branch, followed by a fourth consensus action (3 + 1), but now I am unsure. More March updates is not necessarily better; last year, the person who received three updates was waitlisted. However, receiving at least one March update seems necessary. Last year, everyone selected or waitlisted received at least two March updates, always including the final one on 3/21. Based on this pattern, I expect one more March update opportunity before final decisions.

Possible, updates could even be different based on year of applicant.

You're application could be passed to agencies you did not list. I believe 3/13 was for ONR, 3/18 ARO, and next one will be the remaining (AFRL?).

Strangely, I also got the 3/18 update. Previous 3/13, 1/31 ONR AI/ML

The first March update was on time this year compared to 23-24. Has anyone else received the first update?

Got 3/13 update but still says under evaluation. ONR AI/ML

Me too, 1/31 ONR AI/ML

I think the reviews are submitted at this point. The next update will say if our app was sent to the agencies.

Has everyone who was getting updates in January have most recent one on 1/31?
