yes, it's a fucking nightmare here. i was officially rejected from the last of my programs today, so it's over for me. i was rejected from UVA's PhD program but granted admission to the master's, so i'm considering it. i'm also considering applying to other master's programs closer to my home in new england. rough day overall, and rough year with the stupid cheeto in office

generic rejection and did not encourage me to reapply lol. it was for rhetoric, media, and publics

finally got rejected from northwestern! only waiting to hear from one more school, but i'm guessing it's gonna be all rejections for me this cycle

ugh the wait is killing me! i wonder what's taking them so long... also wondering if anyone knows if any american students have heard from umass amherst? ik decisions have gone out for international students, but i'm still waiting for anything!!

this might seem rude, but i genuinely can't stand people who apply to programs that they *know* aren't a good fit. if you there aren't 2-3 people who you'd like to research with/whose research interests align with yours, why waste your time and the committee's time? i know it's because of the prestige of certain schools and that some programs have more resources than others, but i find it so frustrating that people are unnecessarily raising rejection rates by applying to programs that they know probably won't accept them because they don't see a place/person for them to work with 😕

i think it's too early to assume that there won't be any more admissions, considering that no rejections/waitlist decisions have been sent out at all. also, didn't someone here mention emailing the grad admissions director who said they were doing it in batches this year? i think we keep our fingers crossed still!
