Sorry, I should have noted that I did have an interview on 2/7. I just wanted to check in to see if anyone here had emailed them before I try to check in with them.

I don't suppose anyone on here has reached out to Pittsburgh for an update? They sent that letter about the pause to applicants on 2/27, but Forbes posted an article on 2/28 that Pittsburgh had resumed admissions.

Can I just say how frustrated I am that the US's leadership is currently wreaking such havoc on the state of research and admissions in higher education? So many of us are in limbo over these delays; the ripple effect is massive & they clearly don't care. ...I'm not usually one to rant, but I just had to get that out. 🥂 Here's to all of us pushing through this chaos with our chins up. ❤️

Not sure if I've missed this discussion, but have we heard anything from Iowa's Poetry applicants? I only see Fiction responses on the spreadsheet.

I would be surprised if most programs didn't do notifications over spring break. It's their chance away from the typical hustle and bustle of their standard everyday admin/faculty duties, so having that time to work on other things is a gift.

SAME! It read like a rejection portal update. Maybe they're testing our reading comprehension, haha.

Mine says that too, even though the service that I used to send it confirmed that my transcript was received and opened. Just to be on the safe side, I emailed my unofficial version directly to the MFA email address that they included in the Phase II notification email.

Maybe I'm just hypersensitive lately, but I felt like the waitlist email I received from NC State was a touch on the impersonal/cold side.

Let's just cross our fingers that they're people with tons of As already so can't be bothered to enter their data... and will open up the spots for you and I!

I'll just say that you never know who might vibe with your writing sample! ❤️ I applied there too, but understand that it's one of the more competitive programs.

I just found out the hard way that U of Memphis's application deadline of March 1 actually means February 28 at 11:59 PM. 😑

Just hoping for hugs here... I usually feel great and upbeat but as responses are coming through on the spreadsheet from my top-wanted programs, I'm starting to feel a little bummed out.

I got that email too and just about died when there was no attachment. They likely sent it to everyone with a pending graduate school application. I do know that they had paused admissions, but yesterday had announced (I had to google it) that they had resumed their admissions process. So... who knows. I did have an interview (Poetry) and have been holding out hope that there'd be an acceptance, but now I'm not so sure. 😭

Yes! I was also notified that they received my transcript by the clearing house but my application status still has that anxiety-inducing red X. I emailed them and received a hazy reply: "Thank you for reaching out. Once the transcripts are received, processed, and uploaded to your file it will reflect in your online portal. You may reach out to our admission specialist at [email] for further assistance." I've also been considering emailing my unofficial transcript if it isn't updated by 3/1. I was worried that they were holding my application because I haven't officially graduated yet... but hearing that you have the same experience makes me feel a bit better.
