I have an upcoming interview for a fiction program that is one of my top choices (yay!). For folks that have interviewed before, what types of questions did they ask you? Was there anything that caught you off guard? I'm of course going to be prepared to talk about my writing and my goals, and am familiarizing myself with the faculty's work, but other than that, I'm not quite sure what to expect. Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks

Hi all! This is my first time applying and I'm still awaiting decisions from 5 schools. No concrete yeses yet, but yesterday I found out I was waitlisted at Iowa! Iowa is my dream program and it's hard to imagine anyone saying no to an acceptance there. I know there's no way to know what'll happen, but I was curious if anyone has heard about how long their waitlist generally is? Is it common for people to get in off the waitlist there? From the email, they said it is a "short, unranked" list. Any insight would be much appreciated! Wishing you all the best of luck!
