I've been waitlisted before (not UNBC, but UofA for their Psych program). They tend to wait till they fill all spots (May/June) and if there are any openings (e.g., someone rejects their acceptance), they go through the waitlist to fill those. So, unfortunately you could be waiting a while 😕.
