2025 Canadian SLP Admissions/Prep

one went out today to those rejected by accident- I believe it was just regarding positioning on the waitlist and that they would more than likely not get in due to being too far down the list? -

typically the programs will post a list with all of the accepted equivalents that your school offers, so its pretty easy just have to do some digging. I have heard though that UBC reserves 90% of spots for BC residents, not 100% sure though. -

do you know if they will tell you how many are on the waitlist? I was thinking that could give more insight, but I haven’t asked yet! -

does anyone know how UBC sends out acceptances, wait lists and rejections? Is it all at once or do they do roll out offers? -

typically, academic means that they need to be a professor you took a course in, who can speak to you academic ability. Certain schools, like UBC, consider lab professors that you work for as a separate type of reference ( I can’t remember the title). Academic professors typically only give you a reference if you get an A- or higher. Be annoying and go to office hours as much as possible and ask questions so that they remember you and you form a relationship! -

Does UBC require an interview as a part of the process?
