I’m a prospective DrPH student looking for clarity about a key program requirement: the comprehensive written exam. There’s very little detailed info on what it’s actually like, so I would like some insight.... What Form Did It Take? Multiple choice, essays, data-based questions, policy case studies, mixed formats? How Was It Administered? Was it conducted online, during one of the Summer or Winter Institutes in Baltimore, or as a take-home exam? When Was It Scheduled? Did it fall during one of the in-person institutes? Or was it remote/timed? Difficulty Level? How demanding was it? How Did You Prepare? Study groups, mentorship, sample questions, course materials, specific tips? Pass/Fail Expectations? Were there clear criteria? Any options for retake?
