The Oxford BPhil is the only philosophy program I will be applying to this season, and the reason is simple: I don’t have a 4000+ words essay on hand, and the BPhil is the only program that accepts two 2000-2500 words essay. My two short essays are of very good quality, but does submitting two short essays rather than one long essay, as is the standard elsewhere, hurt my chance?
