  1. Hey there, I'm wondering if anyone can speak from experience about successfuly re-applying to a program. In my case, I'm looking at applying to a program that waitlisted me the previous year. My biggest dilemma right now is how to attack the exact same prompt for a second time only one year later. It's hardly been a year wasted, but the bulk of my CV hasn't changed so much. Thoughts on this or other stuff? Thanks
  2. Hey, I'm wondering if anyone out there has deferred and can comment on what sort of funding you eventually received. If you defer you often forfeit the initial funding offer and are reconsidered the following year. I know that the deferral itself won't affect how you're assessed the second year, but I still worry about committing to a program without an idea of the funding that will be on offer. Moreover, what incentive does the program have to throw money at you if you're already locked-in? I know one option is to do a second round of apps after you've deferred, but frankly I was happy with my results this year and don't relish the idea of doing it all over again! Thoughts welcome... and thanks.
  3. Hey AO - I'm working on the Visual Explorer essay. Do you know (or anyone) if it's supposed to be one page single-spaced, or one page double-spaced? The only spacing instructions (for the personal essay) indicate double-spacing, however the example I found by Dean Ellen Schall is about one page single-spaced. The question seems silly and technical, but makes a big difference in the nature of the essay. As for your question, I really like the VE essay topic. Better opportunity to show creativity, more so than many personal essay prompts. Though I think this year's photos are recycled, which seems odd. Thanks for your help
