Describe Relevant Work Experience: worked with the Planning Commission of India for almost an year, co-authored a couple of policy papers and a book chapter. Involved with the NATCOM document preparation or the Government of India.
Strength of SOP (be honest, describe the process, etc): Took over 6 weeks - got inputs from a former HKS professor. Highlights my background (rural) and commitment towards provision of energy services for the poor in developing countries.
Strength of LOR (be honest, describe the process, etc): Physics professor - should be solid; former HKS professor - super solid; a former Manager: should be solid
Questions: Hoe much of a handicap would the work experience thing be? I've undertaken courses in economics and policy (Calculus was aplenty - thanks to my Physics major). Would it make more sense to wait for an year even if I get offers?
