Just made my decision so here goes: PROFILE: Type of Undergrad Institution: International unknown Major(s)/Minor(s): Philosophy and History Undergrad GPA: 3.9 Type of Grad: US top 10 (MA in IR) Grad GPA: 3.9 GRE: 610Q 670V 5.0AW Any Special Courses: micro and macro econ prior to starting my MA, but that's all. Letters of Recommendation: All from top 10 grad school (two tenure track, one associate) Research Experience: summer fellowships and one publication (book chapter) Teaching Experience: 4 semesters as a TA Subfield/Research Interests: IR with security focus SOP: standard - outlined area of interest, my background, and why the department would be a good fit for me. Other: two years related work experience in the government sector. RESULTS: Acceptances($$ or no $$): Rutgers, UT Austin, McGill, GWU (all funded), UVA (unfunded). Waitlists: Rejections: Princeton, Cornell, UC Berkeley, UCLA, Georgetown Pending: Going to: GWU! What would you have done differently? A lot of things, but mainly 1) retaken my GRE to get the quant score higher, 2) spent more than a couple of days on my SOP, 3) not tried to move countries in the middle of the application process. Thankfully I am very pleased with the outcome but it could easily have been a different story. Good luck everyone!

UoT PhD acceptances have all gone out? Just want to know as it is my last school to hear from....and no emails so far today

And has anyone heard anything from Toronto (PhD)? Its the final university I am waiting on and I really want to know the result!

I am overseas but probably about 10.30am Eastern - it was a personal email if that helps, so they might not be done.

I am one of the GWU admits - received an email earlier today from the DGS but alternate for funding. Hoping that something will come through!

Anyone want to own up as theGWU admit? Just wondering when the rest of us will hear something.....

I was told maybe 2 weeks ago that a few early admits had gone out but they were not close to being done - the rest would be sent out early March (which I would have thought was this week but nothing yet)....

Georgetown was notifying yesterday so may be done (though I don't know that for sure). There was a GW acceptance on the board yesterday so I would expect decisions from them end of this week/next week sometime....hope that helps somewhat!

Has anyone in IR been admitted to G'town? I am also assuming they are done....

Speaking of which, what are they doing?? Surely the final results must be coming out soon......right??

I'm not sure if Georgetown notifies through the online status check or not (you should have had a pin sent to you when you set up your account?) - it seems like most of the results have come through emails though. I really hope we hear (one way or the other) from Georgetown and GW this week....at least then I can start the decision-making process.
