Just learned I was accepted to the Netherlands. Very happy this is all over, as I was beginning to fear for my sanity. Other Netherlands people, feel free to message me. Best of luck to everybody still waiting!
-
Whoa! Somebody heard from the Netherlands today? Also, I'm interested in hearing from DK on the spreadsheet who is studying "performance"--I wonder if we applied to the Netherlands for the same reasons.
-
Netherlands stuff was sent on Friday, but I didn't get anything today. Tomorrow!!!
-
Netherlands people--our letters were sent out today! I guess we'll be hearing Monday or Tuesday at the latest. Ack!
-
For Netherlands people (you're on here somewhere, right?), we will definitely not be hearing this week, but letters will be sent in the next two weeks.
-
I'm sure you have made an alternate very happy! It sounds like you know what's best for you. Best of luck with the MA program.

I got a strange automated call today advising me to apply for government grants to start a small business. I thought it was something Fulbright-related until I realized it was just a junk call. What an annoying time to get that call!

For those waiting for the Netherlands, I called today and we can expect letters to be sent in about two weeks. So I guess we are all in the same boat. Just keep waiting patiently....

Congrats!!!! From what I can gather, not all European countries are alike--the Netherlands, where I applied, runs through some different people and takes a few weeks longer. And Italy seems to take longer as well. I am jealous of everybody who has a response already--I am very ready for this whole thing to be over! Congrats again.

This is interesting...according to last year's spreadsheet, Finland applicants didn't find out until early April, and now they're the first to find out. And we can't forget that "finalist" emails came a lot earlier than expected as well. I'm thinking many of us will be hearing earlier than we expect.
-
Heartiest congratulations!! It sure is making me nervous that the envelopes have started coming in. Apparently the Netherlands takes a bit longer for various reasons, so I have a more few weeks to stress. Go celebrate!
-
I called them earlier to ask about this. They won't be confirming the receipt of transcripts, but if they are missing anything, they will get in touch with you.
-
Well...who knows? Many people last year heard in mid-March. And don't forget that the "finalist" emails this year went out much earlier than expected.
-
So does this mean we could hypothetically be hearing the final answer soon? I'm also a Western Europe person.
-
I called this morning. They said that they won't confirm if they received individual transcripts, but that they will contact us if they are missing anything. Understandable, given the number of applicants. Hope this helps.
-
I was wondering about this too. I was going to follow up with them this week, just to be sure.
-
From what I can gather, I think it's fine to just send a hard copy of the transcripts you used for the first round, with the addition of your last semester. I think it's mostly just a way to make sure that you finished your final semester and got decent grades.

Just got the email--accepted as finalist for the Netherlands.

I've read 1.5 to 2X the number of grants available. I don't think the ratio is set in stone for every country, though. Friday!!! Wow.

I think this is probably a good sign--I doubt they would bother otherwise. And hello to everybody! I applied to the Netherlands. Just wanted to wish everyone good luck in the next few days. Very exciting time!
