No luck for me this time. Does anyone have any ideas for other good summer language programs (with deadlines that have not passed already)? I would like to study Hindi or Portuguese...

I am working on my MA in European history and hope to go forward at the PhD level to study early modern European maritime empires in India, especially the Portuguese. Best wishes to you both. I know I sure could use some good news!

Hi my friend! This is nice feedback. Good idea to post this question here. I also qualify as a non-traditional applicant. I am in my mid-40s and do not have a history BA but will finish my MA in European History this spring.
