  1. LOL well i might be saying that after a few rejection letters
  2. Indeed. I was simply exited to see another Carnegie Mellon post. it is my first choice as well!
  3. here is a link to my flickr page My Photostream unfortunately, all the images have annoying © symbols on them, i will remove them when i have the time.
  4. Carnegie Mellon FTW!!!
  5. what i have told friends of mine who have been rejected is "All that matters is that you know in your heart you made brilliant work and submitted outstanding applications. No irritating letter of rejection will change that."
  6. i know exactly what you mean. For me, if i dont get in anywhere I will still know that i made brilliant work for my portfolio and that i worked very hard on these apps. And I will allow no number of irritating rejection letters to tarnish that knowledge. Neither should you
  7. this will help us all relax i think. Or it might piss some of you off (if you hate it) either way, for the moment you were not thinking about Grad school
  8. Plus, you have to consider that your recommenders may WANT to write a recommendation for you. if they care about you and are passionate about your work they may consider it an honor.
  9. Just finished sending in all of the apps. Its incredibly annoying as i am already starting to second guess my work on my apps. Im trying to ignore it but it's like a vulture hovering above. So, who else has vultures of doubt hovering above them?
  10. I love a challenge. the idea of a three year program with a final written thesis and show is a fantastic opportunity. Also, When i visited i inquired about recommendations. i wasn't sure how many i would need. i was told that they were not necessary, that they instead have a discussion with the recommenders. To me, that showed that the program really wanted to go to the next level in understanding potential students. I mostly do non objective oil paintings.
  11. MFA in painting SVA SAIC Carnegie Mellon Iowa UIC SAIC, Carnegie Mellon and Iowa are my top three, with Carnegie being #1. it will be at least until april until i hear from Carnegie i think....ugh
