I'm heading down this week!

Hi guys, first-time posting here. So I've been crossing my fingers and hoping that the reason I haven't heard back from so many schools was because the professors were all waiting to discuss applicants at SPSP, but my former psychology adviser went and this was what he told me: . . . the grad students talk about the professors at the conference. The professors talk about the senior faculty. I rarely hear faculty talking about graduate students at the conference, much less prospective graduate students. You just aren't on their radar. 'You are but ants.' Great to know, eh? We are but ants... I've actually been recommended for admission to one of my top choices so I'm not too worried, but I just want a response from the other schools so that I can get some frickin' closure.
