I got mine in an email this morning from Paul Ortega. I almost deleted it because it looked like spam, but decided to open it, and I was glad that I did! I know that people in Madrid and Cantabria have heard, so maybe if you are placed in Valencia, they haven't emailed those placements yet. I'm sure you will get your soon!

I just got my Spanish ETA placement, it looks like I will be in Madrid! I can't wait to meet everyone else who got assigned to Madrid.

I just got accepted to the Spain ETA and haven't heard anything about placements. Do you think that they email or mail them out? Also, when do they tell us the time line that we need to be in the country so that we can start looking for a plane ticket.

Skyfire- Did you actually get your letter in Oregon? I am in the midwest and still have not received my letter. I think its odd that it would have made it all of the way to the West Coast before the mid west. Maybe it will come later today!

Congratulations on getting the Full Grant to Spain. I am a finalist for the ETA in Spain, and with you getting a letter today, I will be checking my mail incessantly until my letter comes! Best of luck in Madrid

So are you volunteering to be the person who emails Rachel this week and asks about when the letters will be mailed out?! lol This wait is killing me as well, but I have resolved to just be calm and let it be a surprise when I find the letter in my mailbox.

Didn't Rachel say "1-2 weeks" two weeks ago? Why would they post April 1st on the Spanish Fulbright website if they are going it get them out closer to May 1 than April 1. Ugh... my patience is running low!

So do any of the Spain applicants want to email Rachel this week and see if she knows when the letters might go out? I took my turn last week, so I don't want to be the annoying girl who emails all of the time! I just had to turn down another teaching opportunity, so I would really like to know whether or not I got the Fulbright.

I emailed Rachel yesterday about whether or not we would know by next week since I have to accept or decline another offer, and she said: "To my knowledge, they won’t go out by this Friday." So I guess we know that it will be a bit longer before they go out, but she would not say when.

I gave in and emailed Rachel today. I found out that I have to accept or decline another teaching program in Spain on Monday, so I figured I should email and see if we might know by then.

Does anyone who applied for an ETA in Spain know how the placements are distributed between Madrid, Valencia and Cantabria? Everyone on the spreadsheet last year got placed in Madrid and the program statistics only show the percentages accepted for the Madrid program. I was just wondering how that whole placement process worked while I waited on the actual notification to come in mail!

That is so funny that you just asked about that because I was thinking about asking people where they found the email to ask about whether or not notifications have been sent out. But, I don't want to be the first person . Maybe if we don't hear by the end of this week, I will give in and email her!
