my percentile was the same (and i got an award). I assume the top 7% would all have gotten 1st round awards and below 79% were probably rejected in the 1st round... liatris, for me, the percentile was listed on the first page i see when i log in to read my reviewer comments.

I agree. I won with VG/VG, VG/VG, and VG/E, although all the reviewers said I had an interesting and relevant project, a strong background, and strong broader impacts. (my E reviewer called my personal statement "heart warming" haha) Then again, I'm also geosciences, and we did get more new awards than other disciplines.
-
Yeah, i think geosciences got a good number of new ones, too

hey, congrats to all you who got hm. that's still pretty good in my book (i would have been ok with that, although I'm just a senior undergrad, so I would have had more chances to reapply). I think some disciplines just get funded more easily than others sometimes. (e.g. I'm in geology, but I'm doing a project that oil companies don't care about, unlike a lot of other work that's being done) I wish you all the best of luck in finding other funding opportunities.

OH MY GOD YOU GUYS I GOT ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm pretty sure this is the url for the award spreadsheet https://www.fastlane-beta.nsf.gov/grfp/AwardeeList.do?method=loadAwardeeList but it, like the rest of the beta site, is currently purple and useless
-
this waiting process is actually helping me focus on writing my thesis: check forum and fastlane, go back to thesis and write paragraph. repeat. i have to agree though, that it really feels like tonight could be the night
-
they probably took it down to lull us into a false sense of disappointment so we'd resign to go to bed early and not stay up and check our emails so that they could delay the wave of responses and questions when they stealthily release them later tonight. (hope springs eternal...) luckily, i'm on the west coast, so it's only 9...
-
nothing here either... it's always questionable when someone with so few posts says something like that...
-
does anyone remember approximately what time (pacific) the emails started going out/results were available last time? i'd like to get some work done before starting to freak out if tonight's the night...
-
actually, they almost always do their maintenance on sundays
-
as those of us who've been here for a long time already know, scheduled maintenance doesn't usually correlate with any changes on the website or announcements. plus, i doubt they'd send emails out on a sunday morning...
-
speak of the devil... I just got an email rejecting me... whatever dudes, Stanford is where I wanted to go anyways
-
Nothing from Berkeley for me either... Where is everyone going next fall?
-
true, but if we know more about the delay, we will possibly stress out less and potentially have a better idea of when to expect more results so we can get back to work. i've got a bachelor's thesis to write...
-
it seems to good to be true, right?
-
I'm still email-free... I think I did a good job on broader impacts at least, so I think I could have a shot at an hm
-
Wow, at this rate we can easily reach 2000 posts before this whole process is over...
-
aw, that sucks is it alphabetical? what letter does your last name start with? (i'm T, so I could have a while to wait...)
-
that's not very awesome of them to post online that rejected people have been contacted by email if they pretty clearly haven't...
-
i'm kinda worried that we may have the same error as last year and this is viewable before any emails have been sent... seems too lucky that nobody on here has gotten an email...
-
wow only ONE caltech undergrad (not me) got one... i think that is lower than usual...
