ANyone gotten official email or snail mail about stipends, classes, etc.?

I'll be there too. Haven't heard anything about start date (or anything else) yet, so I'm figuring it's the regular Grad School start date.

If both programs are equal in preparing you for your future, in the words of a beloved AP Eng. teacher when I was trying to decide on colleges, "Follow the money" (or in this case the one that will cost least).

If your area of interest is engineering, sciences, math or library science, then UIUC. If liberal arts, then either, but I might give an edge to Rutgers. OOps,...just saw your area is statistics...I would go with UIUC. But of course, this is a decision only you can make!

UIUC 4th to 11th ranking is more than a little. Also, academia and businesses know that UIUC is better in this area.

Has anyone heard from UIUC Nuclear, Plasma and Radiologial Eng. yet??????

No doubt in my mind, I would accept UIUC. Great school.

UMich has a MEng in space Engineering. As to the GPA thing, sorry, I have no clue.

I read somewhere on the Grad Cafe that MEng was more for people that want to join the work force after they achieve their Masters and MS is for people that want to go into research with their Masters. I don't know if this is so, but it seems logical to me.
