I received an automated e-mail saying that a decision had been made and to check the online application... the acceptance was posted there. Following that, I received an e-mail from the department. Best of luck, hope you get some good news!

January 4 was the deadline to be considered for fellowship or assistantships. I applied in late December and haven't heard anything yet...
