just got rejected from Minnesota via website. they can blow me.

alot of schools seem to be really slow period. I applied phd to Minnesota, Texas, Wisconsin, and Washington, and not a peep yet. other than a few people hearing from UMN for visitation [not me ], no one on here has posted any news for structures...driving me bananas.

was that from dr. le at UMN?? i got this from him: "Thank you for your enquiry. We received a large number of applications this year. With limited funding opportunities, the admission is very competitive. I am not in the position to disclose the decision here. The decision letter will reach you soon. " sounds like a letter of doom is coming, but who knows. could mean they are waiting to see which "top tier" recruits are going to accept and which ones are going somewhere else. kinda really annoying. i know we're not at the top of the list though, because a few people have been invited to the visitation weekend on march 3. FUCK. i haven't heard shit from any of the 4 schools i applied to. im OLD (30) and will need to start working on selling my house if i'm gonna go to school. these departments need to get on top of things.

hey man, congrats on the really excellent admissions. i'm pretty jealous. i'm curious if you would post your relevant stats to kinda help myself and the others get a better idea. Any inclination to where you'd prefer of the ones you applied to?

hey buddy, you're applying for the master's program, correct? i'm going for Ph.D. and haven't heard anything yet. getting slightly concerned. I've been in industry for 6 years after getting my masters at another top 15 big 10 school and did 790/540/3.0 on the GRE's last year. Any other info from UMN yet? When is the welcome weekend? i'm probably just panicking, but trying to gather info. thanks!
