Just received a fulbright to canada! For the spreadsheet username FreshPots, Accepted, 4/23/11, Large Manila

Hey I applied to Canada and saw that someone heard back a week ago. I have been trying to get info to see if it was email notification or mailed and have gotten nothing. I called up Jody Dudderar but got the usual run of the mill answer, just wondering if anyone has any info or if anyone else applied to Canada.

Hey I saw that someone who applied to Canada found out on 3/31 did you get an email notification was it mail to your current or permanent address?

Hey I just got this email, "...I am writing today to update you on the status of your application for a Fulbright Canada award. As you know, you have been recommended for a 2011-2012 Fulbright Canada award. Please note that there are still several steps in the process. At this point, we cannot guarantee that you will receive a Fulbright Canada award. As you can appreciate, the Selection Committees recommend more candidates in any given competition than we can realistically fund. The Canada-U.S. Fulbright Program normally announces results on or about April 15th and will inform the IIE of the applicants’ status at that time. At this point, we are requesting that all recommended candidates provide basic background information for our records...." I just want to know if people know what the, "Please note that there are still several steps in the process.", means.

Does anyone know when finalists to Canada were notified in previous years, it's not on the spreadsheet

Yea I applied for Canada and was notified of being a finalist a few weeks ago, hoping I get good news before April.
