And I'm a "first time" Harvard applicant as well. What I will say is that I DON'T have any of the ivies or top tier schools for my BA or MA work. Two small private liberal arts colleges. So I don't consider myself an expert by any means on this process! Just GRATEFUL to have been selected for an interview at this point! Would love to chat w/you sometime!

No problem at all! Also, I wasn't trying to be evasive earlier--truly, the e-mail that they sent was, "Congratulations, your application showed promise and we'd like to interview you." There was no wording to indicate that "all" the invites were out and responded to or anything like that. AND I misspell all the time on anything without spellcheck :-).

I was shocked to get the interview notice a day early. Realistically they invite the first tier of people first. BUT they give them selves a window of time to still invite up to 50 in case of those who drop off.

I've beeen a part of interview/selection teams and this is typical. Don't lose hope until Feb 25th.

I don't feel comfortable sharing the entire contents of the e-mail because there is detailed log-in information about signing into my account for the interview.

However, the e-mail that went out a few weeks ago to applicants said invites would come between Feb 11-25. I got the e-mail Feb 10th. Not 100% of ppl will be able to interview that is invited. I'd no...
