  1. Anon,

I would focus on the facts. Funding is a fact, public transportation is a fact, closeness to your home city is a fact. But things like "it seems like people are not very happy there" are very subjective and not well-founded. I wound't use such things as criterias for deciding, because things like "happiness" and "good environment" depends on many factors that you can not control at all.

I would go for the first school you mention, and congratulations for been accepted! :)

  2. Hi,

what do I exactly have to do before April 15th? Is it just to send a "Yes, I will enter to your PhD. Program" or a "No, I will not enter to your program"? Or am I supposed to send some other material related to visa, official certificates, etc before April 15th?

  3. Hello everyone,

I am an international student that applied to the following PhD. Programs:

    - Bioinformatics at North Carolina State University.

    - Computational and Systems Biology at MIT

    - Computational Biology at NYU

I have just received a nice rejection from NCSU at the application website. But from the other universities I haven't heard anything!

have you heard from any of this schools and programs? Are u american or international?

Of course, I am very anxious with all the waiting. Good luck to everyone!
