I received the rejection in the mail on April 6 (BTW, I'm in the U.S. Not sure whether that'd make a difference)

just got my notification email from annenberg yesterday. said the same thing as yours. so no panics.

no email. one thing i can be sure though, is that they decline to give out decisions via email/phone. that's clear(though some early admits in Feb apparently got email notifications). but at this point, i'm not really counting on this school. GC data from previous years show that at this moment, all you get is pretty much a rejection letter.

Is the admission affected by spring break? anyone knows?

no problem, revelunt! i also really wanted to go to penn but was rejected. in retrospect, it might not be too bad an outcome. i think usc could be a better fit. (yes, the wait for usc is killing me) good luck with everything! i guess i spent too much time on this site

funding at our department is super limited. actually, there are people coming in who pay their own way through. it's a public school. so...

Far as I know, Penn Annenberg doesn't do waitlists, evidenced by the results on this site. The date may vary by one day or two, but definitely not for more than a week. You should just call. PS. I'm an international applicant as well.
