I have declined offers to Notre Dame, Rutgers, and UVA so far. I am still considering Duke, Penn, and WashU.

The email is from the department chair (Ian Lustick), I had had no previous contact with the department. It claims that letters will be mailed out shortly. Hope that helps.

I just got an acceptance email from Penn at 12:08 so its for real.

I'm doing my MA at Chicago, (did my undergrad there too), I talked to my advisor about apps and he said that they were cutting down on admissions this year.
