and i will (hopefully) be working at the institute for tropical biology in saigon. it is part of the center for biodiversity for vietnam. i got pretty lucky in that everyone was super quick to respond to my project and super optimistic about it because that is what i was most worried about! let's hope the US thinks conservation issues are important enough to fund!

It's not possible to predict exactly when the final results will become available, but we're hoping that the final notification letters for Vietnam will go out by the end of April.

btw, do you mind me asking where you've found an affiliation in vietnam? I've spent some time there before, and know how difficult it is to establish relationships without initial contacts and introductions through a third party. I'm impressed! Thank goodness ETA didn't require that
