    CALTECH -- EE

Last year they let them know around April 1st.....If they do the same this year then we still have time until we get results.....
  2. Anyone heard from Harvard EE??
  3. Why don't you call to the admission offices of these schools and let them know what the situation is. I am pretty sure that if you explain them what's going on, they will let you know if a decision has already been taken for your application. This way you will have a better perception of what your options are.
  4. I actually did call them and I said I am calling to check the status of my application. They said that they cannot tell me that over the phone but they can tell me that all decisions will be mailed by March 15th. Then I said okay given that the open house is on Friday march 4th, does this imply that the decision is probably going to be a rejection? And she said that "I wouldn't assume that!. We are sending both admissions and rejections. Of course the question "why do you even have an open house if some of your potential students don't even know that they have been accepted" popped in my mind but who knows what do these people think. Anyway, I will wait.
  5. The site has been updated....and it now includes EE.....this doesn't look good....no i lost hope
  6. I have not heard back either...
  7. Congratulations! I know CMU is a very good school in EE. However, if you are going into controls I think that they are not as good as the other top tier schools. I know that their robotics program is one of the best in the nation, if not the world. So CMU is a very good school. I wouldn't worry in your case! Once again, congratulations.
  8. Exactly, Also if you see the results sections then you will notice that results for the Applied Mathematics, Applied Physics, Computer Science, etc have been posted during mid February. That includes both admissions and rejections. However, I cannot see neither admissions nor rejections for EE except from one admission for Fall 2011. So I am pretty sure that nothing has been finalized yet. At least I hope so. Therefore, monitoring that website is our best bet right now. Hope that everything will turn out okay for everyone!
  9. If you go to http://openhouse.seas.harvard.edu/ it seems that there are no events for the EE Department. I can only see events for the Applied Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, and Environmental Sciences and Engineering Departments. My point is that there might still be hope!!!
  10. Saw some rejections today on the results page. But I did not receive any response yet..... What's happening?
  11. Well that's what they told me. It is not my fault they are morons!
  12. Well I am not sure about that....we will just have to wait and hope for the better....
  13. Called them yesterday and they said that they have given the decisions to the graduate office and that the graduate office will send us a letter via snail mail.....therefore expect a decision letter sometime next week if you are in the US of course Good luck
  14. False Alarm!!! Thanks for the information though. It pisses me off that they don't release results promptly. I guess our best bet is to wait and hope for a miracle! Good luck to everyone!
  15. What's the link to the status page guys? Thank you!!
