Any news for those who were accepted for Masters and whose PhD was under review? I still got no news here. Is there any guarantee they will reply before April 15th? If we accept another offer from another school and then we get an admit in UCSD, what should we do? I am not sure if we are waitlisted or if they havent sent out the PhD admits yet. Very few people on the site got admits. Does anyone know a friend or someone who got an admit earlier?

I am in the same road bro. Well, at least we escaped the rejection days. For a week or so, UCSD has been sending nothing but rejections for Masters and PhD applicants. I noticed in their email that they "independently" considered masters admission. Lets hope the best for the PhD. Have you guys spoken to professors? I tried but they never answer back.

Dear all, I would like to know what you think. Which school is better, UCSD is in the top 10 in USnews, UCSB is in the top 10 in NRC rankings. I am so conused because both are good schools. My primary concern is university-industry relationship as getting a job after graduation is of utmost importance to me. Also, if i get an admission into Carnegie Mellon ECE, or Michigan who have higher rankings than those two. Is it better to go for the ranking, or stay in California where most of the industry and silicon valley are located? Thanks
