anyone got rejected..?

someone posted an acceptance from MS, MS&E stanford... anyone with the confirmation here?

I understand that. But I was hoping nothing bad would happen because: a) An average has numbers lying on both sides of it. My GPA is low because of the Biology and other irrelevant courses and I have got good grades in relevant ones. c) Gradation varies from place to place. I have studied in a very difficult place. I hope universities will look into my other credentials too..before dinging me.

what are my chances...( I resisted this..but finally gave in to the tension which is simply going over the roofs now ) given the following credentials: GRE General ...800 Q 690 V 4 AWA ... TOEFL 108... GPA 3.25(approx.)..I am from a reputed institute in India where they are pretty stingy with grades ... also my grades were pulled to the ground due to some soft courses in Biology... my grades in courses like Differential Equations, Linear Algebra etc. are top notch. I will be awarded a BS-MS in Physics and Maths this may. I have a year of research to my credit. I am really worried about my seemingly low GPA.... Stanford doesn't look superfluously into the transcripts right?

Hey I am also from India:P No I haven't spoken to any prof@ Columbia. I heard that it makes you look like a pest. Hence I refrained from it! . I guess one is not required to do that compulsorily @ Columbia, right?

yeah! I did that. I had pretty neat GRE...(in fact high)..... and a super SOP( whoever read it said so!) ...decent LORs(I guess). The fix is...I have a GPA around 3.25 overall( I am in a place which is way too frugal with its gradation). However I have great grades in courses like differential equations, financial mathematics, probability and statistics etc. Would I be able to get in one of the super universities in the US? Getting in shouldn't be tough for you. After all, you are from their own backyard

hey..even I did the same right before the death knell . When will the decisions arrive? Which other universities have you applied to?
