damn thats not good! wait who did you call to get this info from? well i think its a good idea to go on july. i already found a room for august on craigslist. i told them that i wont be able to visit till may, and she said well keep in contact. so im happy about that. i also found this lady who owns several houses around the campus, she told me to call her when im in town, and shell show me the rooms that are gonna be available in august. besides those 2 lucky accidence, i haven't had much luck either. =/ maybe we could find a 2 bed apartment =D

i love your work! i graduated form UCSC, after that i took sum time off to work and save for graduate school. sadly im still a lil short when it comes to fully being able to afford it, but well c wat happens. so how many people do you think we have in r class? about 10?

do u have a website? thats a good thing to hear. I cant wait!!!!!!!! even tho after a year of not being in school, things are gonna be rough at the beginning.

@ fenceline yeah the thing is off campus housing is soooo much cheaper than on campus. im looking for somewhere really close as well. 3 day drive is gonna be crazy!!!! well i don't have a car, but i don't know weather to rent one and drive up there, or fly. if i fly i don't know how to sent my stuff, mainly art supplies like my copper plates! i also have my tv and what not.... so i have no clue as to what i should do.

@ prickly pear im sure you can find a place on craigslist. ive been looking at a lot of houses that accept pets, mainly cats. so i dont think you should worry tooo much. i use to live in LA for a few years, then i moved to berkeley. art center is a very nice place! i hope you can get that TA position. printmaking is 2 years and yes my focus in undergrad was printmaking. i always wanted to be an architect, but i suck at math =/

furniture design... that is soooooo exciting! i am in the printmaking program. well, i was looking on craigslist, i dunno where else to look. i booked a flight for late may so i could visit the campus and check out some houses. I want to move in around July, August. that would give me time to explore the city and the campus. it would be nice to get that out of my system before classes start. yeah i dont have a car. i think it be tooo much hassle. since i am not in the area, i cant get a group of people together to rent a house. so im looking for a room. which school offered you more financial aid?

So, i will be attending RISD. I sent in my deposit last weeks and now i am very excited and scared at the same time. at the moment i am trying to figure out where i should live. off campus is definitely cheaper, a nice room runs around 500-600$. oh also is anyone from CA? and how are u planning to move to RI? so lets talk! who is going? mediums? expectations?

i believe that cranbrook doesn't have any undergrads. so you dont get to TA or teach your own class. those things were important to me cuz i would like to teach in the future. this might not help, but thats y i didn't accept cranbrook.

thank you. i was soooo surprised to hear from him. he emailed and then called me. i havent visited either. im still waiting to hear from other schools mainly cornell. but i never thought i would get into risd so well c best of luck to you.

u got an email from Raftery right? he was sooo nice to me on the phone well basically he said he wants an answer from me at the end of this month or the first week of april. so if anyone doesnt answer by then they will notify u. is risd your top choice?
