I know you didn't ask me, but my stats weren't very good, either. I am fairly sure I got in entirely based on the strength of my writing sample, my SOP, and my LORs. My specialization is African American lit.

I'm one of the people who got a call. It was from the chair. She was extremely kind and the funding offer is outrageously generous. This was only one of two schools I applied to, and I was rejected from the other. This is just completely amazing to me. Good luck to everyone else!
