Has anyone out there experienced the SACI year-long Post-Bacc program in Florence? If so, what are your thoughts about it?
-
I believe Hunter has sent out decisions...I was rejected not too long ago and I see that some people have been accepted.
-
Has anyone out there applied to SUNY Albany? I've never seen anyone post about it, so was curious...
-
Congratulations!!!

At the moment I can't even imagine going through this all again, but deep down I know I will try for 2012. I know I really want this, it's just so discouraging at the moment. I'm sorry you have a bleak outlook for your future, as well. Have you been accepted to any schools? I hope so. Good luck!!!

Yay, rejected from SVA today via snail mail...I was waiting for it. One more rejection letter to go and I'm done with this.
-
Congratulations! What program did you apply to at SVA?

Well, I think they understand how stressful this is for us. I had a little issue with an incomplete application that I found out about just recently, so I contacted all the admissions offices of all the schools just to make sure I wasn't overlooking more incomplete applications. Everybody was extremely nice about it and confirmed that my apps were complete. It's probably very common for grad students to follow up on their applications. Am I wrong? Anyhow, I felt a lot better just knowing that I wasn't hearing anything, not because something was wrong with my application, but because the admissions process just takes time. I know I won't hear anything for at least another two weeks, and somehow, I'm a little less stressed about it now.

Don't give up yet! Maybe this just means you're still in the running for acceptance It took a really long time for anybody to get back to me, as well. I just started hearing Mid-March. Even then, four of the schools I applied to haven't really contacted me either. Maybe to ease your consciousness you can contact admissions to see if your apps are complete and when you can expect to hear a decision. Good luck to you!

Same here, sad

If it makes you feel any better, I've only heard back from two schools (both rejections). To be fair, during the application process, the majority of the schools I applied to said to expect a decision by March or April...it is only mid-March, so maybe it's still a bit early to assume rejection? Of course, I'm forcing positive vibes and a hopeful outlook at this point, as well.

I'm so happy to hear you had a good experience at SACI. I'm applying for the 1st year in Florence MFA program and I'm really hoping I get in. It seems there is no finer place to study art than the great city of Florence Thank you for sharing your experience! This makes my day a little brighter.

I woke up to a rejection from UCLA this morning. I'm really wondering if grad school will be the path I take in the near future or not.
-
I'm so jealous Congratulations!!! How wonderful to have certainty and such a great package.
-
Congratulations! CGU is an awesome school - the Claremont Colleges are great in general.
-
Just curious, did UCLA mention when they might be sending decision letters out?
-
Congratulations!!!

How did you find out about SFAI?

GOOD LUCK! Exciting!

I just checked my application status for U of Washington Seattle and it says "Deny." I'm sad that I wasn't accepted, but I'm happy to have at least ONE answer

I got a BA at a liberal arts college (concentration in art) in 2002. I waited a while, but I've been in the arts industry for 5 years now. The experience was definitely something I needed to figure out the direction I'd take with my own personal art. I applied to grad school in 2004 and was accepted into a great school, but my head wasn't in the right place at the time. I think it was definitely beneficial for me to take time off between degrees - it just gave me more perspective and allowed me to grow a little more. There's nothing wrong with going directly for the graduate degree, either, it just depends on the person and where he or she is.

So far I haven't heard anything from anybody - except for an admissions office for an "incomplete" application status (other than that, no interviews, no rejections, nothing). I'm starting to worry...

I'm getting in on this thread late, but I still haven't heard anything from anybody....just waiting.... Congrats to everybody who already got accepted!!
