Thank you for sharing the information! Does Stanford usually enroll some MS student into their PhD program? or more likely they recruit PhD student from outside?
-
and Cornell is in the Ivy League. 8)
-
One of my friends got rejection from GaTech. He emailed to ask about status.
-
Both enroll lots of kids each year, more than 200.. The living expense in Michigan is relatively low. But so is the number of jobs posted....
-
Has anyone heard anything from Cornell or Purdue? I emailed Cornell yesterday and got informed that they are still making decision and my decision might not be made until early April....
-
How many kids have Stanford enrolled to MS program this year?
-
maybe you are still under consideration. I got the PhD rejection letter from them 2 weeks ago.
-
Hey guys, I got the admission of Stanford MS program this afternoon.
-
Yap To get strong recommendation letters, I think a close personal relationship with the professor is necessary, which is always hard to establish.
-
This year is such a tough year. It seems impossible for an undergraduate to get into any OR PhD program. I think I've tried my best to prepare for all the applications. My only regret is that I have no publication.
-
I think recommendation letters are very important.

Hey guys, I just got the admission to the MS OR program of Columbia this afternoon.
-
I also got this rejection.
-
Any news from Columbia? It seems that they have been giving off admissions for a while...
-
Every school must be keeping a super long waiting list.
-
Thank you for your share.
-
some records in "result search"..
-
I did not apply to it. But they seem to begin give off offers.
-
I am an undergrad, no publication but have some research experience. Based on what I know about Northwestern, I don't think GRE V part plays an important role. Maybe a strong recommendation letter and high GPA are more important. ps, my GPA is 3.86, I don't now whether it is enough for PhD.
-
Yes I applied to it. They sent out an email this week, saying they are still making decisions right now and the final result will be released in one or two weeks. I made a phone call to them and was told there is no waiting list...However, I believe the first round of offer has almost been done.
-
Yes, he did post it. Does Northwestern review the application one by one, not all at a time?
-
which master program are you in now?
-
good for you! I applied to PhD program of OR in Cornell and other 6 school. I know Columbia has started reviewing my application 3 weeks ago. PS, one of my friends majored in IE got PhD admission of Northwestern and was invited to campus visit next month...so jealous at him..
