  1. Hope this doesn't hurt any feelings, but I would like to see them e-blast friggin everything from acceptance to waitlist to rejection to where-was-your-application. They should just make it happen ceremoniously in one big fat 'Decision-day'. Though if that were the case, gradcafe.com would be much less popular.
  2. I wish you the best of luck, let's hope the (adcomm) gods find favor in you ...
  3. dang 800V. so you're that *dot* in that score distribution curve on those GRE graphs. gonna get noticed friend, gonna get noticed. theory? american?
  4. I don't know man but look at it this way, nobody of the graduate age (current workers fear of getting laid off, prospective workers can't find jobs, prospective grads can't find schools) has it easy.
  5. Plisar, were you given any particular reason to why so few were admitted at Chicago this year (besides the generally obvious reason of poor economy)?
  6. Newbie here, but been reading a lot of the posts of late. I agree with the first reply, SOP and LOR man. It all comes down to that if your GPA ain't the highest and GRE is slightly better than average. Even if GPA + GRE are high, as you can see in many of the discussions before this one, SOP and LOR still carry greater weight. Looking at your GRE it's not too bad, so don't worry too much if your SOP and LOR are good.
