Hi, Can someone please help me out? How do both the ECE departments compare in terms of quality of instruction and research and job prospects afterwards? How good are they both for signal processing? thanks

Anybody here accepted offer of admission without funding in the dept. of Electrical & Computer Engg at UW-Madison? What are the chances of finding assistance once you are there? I would love to go there but my savings would just about see me through the first semester. Is the risk worth taking? What are the thoughts?
