  1. I think you could apply for PhD of top schools directly, and there is big chance that you will be admitted by some of them
  2. I am admitted by both and it's a very tough decision. Chicago definitely has a better reputation, but I have no funding. I have to spend my parents' money to pay for the 106000$ expense.... Cornell's program is quite new and its location is no so good. The good thing is, I have 20k$ per year and can choose any courses as I like. BTW I want to go for phd after finishing the two-year study (not necessarily in public policy though) Any ideas, thoughts? Thanks guys.
  3. also got accepted by this program, but i would definitely not accept the offer. It's really expensive
  4. I am accepted by Georgetown phd, but I don't think I can get the funding....no different from a rejection if I'm unable to get funds..I'm just curious who will attend this program with self-funds..... it's just too expensive!!!!!! Also, the GPA requirement is really high
  5. Same here!I am choosing between CMU Heinz, Brown and NYU.Hope to hear more thoughts
  6. Pretty useful. Thanks so much! I am also admitted by Heinz MSPPM prgram and I am choosing between brown and Heinz. It seems that large parts of Heinz students seek jobs after graduation. Could you talk about the prospects of phd applications? Is it easier to apply for a top doctoral program on public policy in Heinz or any other grad schools? Many thanks.
  7. I'm also admitted by this program, but I can't get much information online about Taubman center. It seems to be small, and quite domestic. I really wanna learn about about the placement info about it, as the website doesn't tell. What do most of its graduates do after graduation? Providence is small, and a little bit far from big cities like DC and NYC. Is it a good program if I want to pursue a PhD degree afterwards? The rank of this program is low, and Taubman center doesn't have a Phd program. Hope you folks could share some thoughts after the campus visit day
  8. Agree. It will be much much harder to apply to WWS and KSG. JHU is good. No need to take the risk.
