  1. has anyone received more than one acceptance and is going to refuse one of the two? let us know!!!
  2. Hi Fedeica, Yes apply for master I am sure you will be fine afterwards. Let me know what they say....are you emailing the department? The grad school might not know anything! Just out of curiosity Does anyone got into NYU in here? Is there anyone who is refusing an admission let us know!!!!!!!
  3. Anyone heard from Rutgers or maybe emailed them?
  4. Hi Everyone, No luck for me either I believe it was not destiny to go there! good luck to everyone Citizen!
  5. No News.....at all but I didn't apply to Columbia though ask the others. i am waiting for NYU but veryhard to get into that program !!!!!
  6. Fedeica thank you very much for your reply. I am Italian too and getting my MA in Italian studies here in the US. Rutgers should simply send an email telling to go and check the internet site where they should have let us know the decision. Unfortunately people told me they never "waste" the time to acknowledge applicants of their rejections. So do not know if we will ever hear anyhting from them. If I was you I would also consider MA programs and then move into PhD. Imbocca al lupo di cuore! credo tu stia studiando a Roma a presto e chi ha notizie prima informa l'altro!
  7. Thank you Fedeica, Good luck to you too. have you had any luck up to now? I did not apparently but did only two applications what about yourself? Did you hear from Rutgers? here noone claims the admission either...I do not understand why :-) are you Italian or American?
  8. Ciao a tutti, has anyone heard anything from NYU? it is weird we still do not know anything......so if you received any sort of news please share it with us all. Thank you citizen!
  9. Hi Jack, I did not apply there. As you seem new here (at least in posting) you may want to share where have you been accepted and/or what your first choice is. Good luck for your applications!
  10. Ciao a tutti, At this time of the year I believe all the universities results are out so who is going where and if you are refusing any offer? We all wait for NYU we can state whether it would be out first choice or not. I applied basically only there and Rutgers but haven't heard anything from this last ether has anyone in here? Apparently there should be also Columbia which has not released its admissions so let's have a shift of answer guys who is going where up to now? I am not going anywhere (not yet at least)..... you?........
  11. Hi Rebecca, I believe what you say is true it helps for confidence booster and to learn the daily language however for graduate studies and maybe even before one has to learn different register and build up a wide vocabulary which goes beyond the everyday language or idiomatic expressions. So a structures course with someone who is actually trained to explain the own language has an important role we cannot with simple conversations and explanation however it does HELP! this is just my humble opinion even if i am in the field of "teaching and learning" Bye :-)
  12. Ciao a tutti, Does anyone know if NYU does Interview? thanks!
  13. Very Well Fedeica look that Rutgers, UPENN, OHio State, University of CHicago, are out you may want find out whether you are in a wait list! Good luck!
  14. crepi il lupo!
  15. Fedeica, Do not be sad it is a difficult school to get in and usually they just accept few students every year. It is weird we have not heard from Rutgers as it seems someone has been accepted but nobody claims it. Come on you still have 8 to go :-)
