  1. I have narrowed down my choices to the University of Oregon and Western Washington. I am having a super difficult time deciding between the two. I visited both programs and while I think I preferred Oregon a bit more (they require you to intern at a school and at a med setting while wwu makes you choose one) but Oregon's price tag is significantly more than the other university. I don't know how to decide whether taking out loans for one school is better than staying out of debt for the other. I feel so confused.
  2. Is anyone going to the University of Oregon's open house next week? It looks like I'm going to be spending my spring break touring schools haha
  3. Has anyone scheduled a visit to their acceptance schools on their own? Like not during a prearranged open house? I'd really like to visit 3 or 4 of the schools I was accepted to over my spring break but trying to coordinate it has been a nightmare since two of the schools are on spring break. Plus one of the schools acted sort of shocked when I asked if I could visit, the secretary said she'd have to talk to some faculty to see if they "did that sort of thing". This seems to be turning into a giant pain but I think it'd be really valuable to get a hands on perspective of the schools before I make my final decision. I guess I'm just feeling extra overwhelmed today.
  4. Thank you very much for that information, I really do appreciate it! I do think I want to come back to MT to work after grad school and I was thinking that going to UM would help, but it looks like the new program's reputation wouldn't really benefit me much at this point in time. I know the department has been making some huge changes and is really working hard, but the more I think about it, the less I want to risk it. The need for SLPs in our state is so great I'm sure I could find a job easily even if I went out of state. I suppose this moves Oregon, Western Washington, and Redlands up my list... PS I saw that you've applied to Oregon as well, you should check your online application to the main grad school, it appears they've posted decisions there although there hasn't been an official letter/email yet!
  5. No UM is probably not my top choice. I mean the program is only 3 years old and its kind of still disorganized. But the in state tuition would be so cheap for me and I have built up some good relationships in the professors and other students. I can't decide what's more important to me.
  6. The University of Montana, which is where I'm doing my undergrad. I just got their email on monday so they're only giving me 10 days to think it over.
  7. One of my acceptances wants a decision by next week and I really don't feel prepared to make that choice. I don't know what to do, I am losing my mind.
  8. I got accepted to Redlands as well! It is currently in my top 3 choices out of the 5 schools I have been accepted to but I am struggling to make the final decision.
