I'm applying this year for Women Studies in a very new masters program at Oregon State University. I'm a bit worried - I've been working in a field which isn't necessarily related to gender studies/activism. But I'm hoping that my statement of purpose and letters of recommendation will be strong enough. I'm also considering an interdisciplinary program, but I did that for my undergrad and would like more focus in my masters.

Hi, I am interested in film/media studies, so I applied to three different programs this year. I applied for Film at UCLA, Communication at UNC-CH, and English at U of O. I only applied for master programs. I don't know if I'd be much help with comm programs since I'm interested in a field that isn't the same at every school.

Did anyone apply for UNC-CH? I logged in and my application status still says "Submitted." However, it also says "Last Updated 02/19/2009 08:50:21 AM." I'm wondering if anyone has been accepted, and if so, I can prepare myself for a rejection.
