I NEED ADIVCE PLEASE! I have 2 great school options, GWU- ELLIOT SCHOOL, MA Development Studies (2 year program) or SOAS in London for MSc Development Studies (1 year program), but a recent work opportunity has come in Vietnam. I can defer the D.C. option, or go straight through with SOAS, but lose out on the Vietnam opportunity. Should I risk the deferral and move to Vietnam? How important is a MA when you're in your mid-to-late 20s? Is an executive level program an option I should consider instead, down the line?

I'm in the same boat, but I was accepted to MSc Development Studies at SOAS. Have you heard anything regarding U.S. Loans applied to overseas schools? My understanding was that it is possible, just not sure how it works exactly. What about a mix of private loans and Federal loans? Are you able to work part-time in the U.K. while you do your program?

Anyone considered not doing the Pickering this year and re-applying another year if they defered graduate school? Is that possible?
