to recycle_bin and mselft: Does the letter say that you might be contacted by June 1st in case more funding is available?

Is it possible to know more information about a PDF "meritorious" rejection? like for instance, the ranking to at least know more or less the chances of getting the fellowship in may?

I had 5 articles published and two under review.

I received a rejection letter for the PDF today. It says that my application was considered "meritorious" but it is ranked below their capacity to fund. Anyone knows something about the "meritorious" rejections? They say that in June I might hear from them again in case they got more funding.
