  1. This website gives the email address of who I'd suggest to contact. I'd also email Jonathan Akeley back as well and tell him you never received anything. http://fulbright.state.gov/eap-eta-orientation/contact-information
  2. I'm in the same boat. My health insurance ends in August so I have no idea what to do. I'm not able to get under my school's insurance anymore so I'd have to get my own plan which will be super expensive. I'm also curious to find out what others are doing!
  3. Yes, the same thing happened to me. I was rejected as well, and they are probably going to offer you a grant to another country. Call back asap!!! Congrats!
  4. Thanks! I was really surprised to say the least. He didn't say where the funding came from. Also, here's the link to the spreadsheet. https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AriON5PQlVdtdHlKMUhJYlo0bEVXREcxdlJVYUFibnc&hl=en&authkey=CNHpkd4P#gid=8
  5. Yes, just talked to him. I was offered the Fulbright to Malaysia. They got more funding so the program there tripled. Because you are an alternate for Indonesia, I'm assuming that's why they haven't contacted you. He told me they are only contacting other people who applied in the Asia-Pacific region who were rejected.
  6. I really don't know...maybe it's for another country then. I've been trying to call Jonathan Akeley all morning and now apparently he won't be in until this afternoon.
  7. I got a rejection letter for an Indonesia ETA back in early April. Last night I got an email from Jonathan Akeley telling me to call him as soon as I can...anybody else get this email or know what it could mean? Maybe there are more funds for Indonesia, or another country that didn't receive enough applicants? I have no idea.
  8. I'm a finalist for Indonesia's ETA program. I've seen that most, if not all people on this forum (for Indonesia) have gotten news in the mail regarding being accepted or not...I still haven't received anything! I'm wondering if there are any other Indonesia ETA finalists who have not received anything yet either? I'm assuming it's a bad sign that I haven't gotten anything yet and that a rejection letter is on its way. Anyone else have any thoughts?? I don't know why or if they would send out letters at separate times.
  9. That's a good question. From what I've read, some alternates don't find out until June. That is a really tough decision. I guess I would have a plan B and go with that until you hear back from Fulbright. That's a long time to wait though. What a predicament, I'm sorry!! I didn't get anything in the mail today; hopefully something will come tomorrow. I'm in Maryland. This waiting is absolutely painful!!!!!
  10. If I were you, I would just say yes for now and then retract it if you do get the Fulbright. I'm in the same position, except it's a teacher exchange program that I've accepted. Hoping for the Fulbright though. Always need a plan b!
  11. I have not emailed the program manager...Is it Jonathan Akeley? I will definitely email whoever it is.
  12. I did, my name is Lauren on there. Did you put your info on there as well? I saw that last year whoever got accepted found out via email first, so I'm assuming it will be the same this year hopefully within the next 2-3 weeks.
  13. Thanks for sharing, I guess all we can do is wait some more!
  14. Hi everyone, I'm glad to know I'm not the only one obsessing over hearing about getting accepted or not! Driving me crazy... I am a finalist for the Indonesia ETA program. Anyone else in the same boat?
