I heard from my advisor that the Federal budgetary negotiations have affected the NSF, and that some funding has been cut. Apparently this will affect this round of decisions (maybe cutting 1-3 grants given per program). It also means that the final decisions will take a bit longer because they now have to work with a different budget. However, this is all secondhand info, so contact your program admin for the real deal. (I am waiting to hear about cultural anth).
