I don't know about the timeline other than what they say in the letter, but Cara informed me that there are 17 alternates for the full grant to India. Which makes me not so optimistic about my chances, so I'm putting it out of mind and moving on. It'd be a little easier if I knew what position I was on that list, but of course they refuse to provide any information that actually matters.
NOOOOOOOO! Alternate for India. Dammit, all I wanted was for this waiting to end..... This is ridiculous. Well, like everyone's been saying, time to move on right?
If you've got a good reason for declining, who cares if you're being gracious? Just explain to them what you told us here and there's no reason they should be upset with that. In any case, congratulations on the acceptance!
Looks like over half of the India finalists on here have heard back. For the rest who are still waiting, where are you located? Please post an update when you get the letter!
A huge congrats to you both for getting the full grant to India! I'm wondering how long it'll take to get all the way to Hawaii... would you mind posting where you guys are located?
Looks like another person was notified of an ETA grant for India. http://news.newsreleaseagency.com/2011-03-29/news-132321-source-2-Abigail-Wacker-10-Wins-Fulbright-To-India
When oh when will one of us full grant finalists hear back...
