The interview went well. They just asked me what I am studying and if I will be coming back.

What about people who self-fund ? Will that affect your chance? Any bad experiences?

Hey that's cool, so I guess you aren't being required to take that summer ELI English course. I must report by July 12 in order to attend to that course. It is the policy of UD that international grad students students from non English speaking countries who are going to be assigned teaching duties must attend ELI English program. (regardless of their TOEFL scores, I guess) It will be nice, though, to have some time before the term begins in order to adapt to the city.
Lucky you! Let me know how it goes.

Hey everyone, I am also attending UDel this Fall to begin studying for my PhD in Economics. With only 3 weeks of undergrad left I cannot wait to pack up my things and head down to the first state to continue my education. Has anyone on this board begun to look at housing? When I was there for my visit 2 weeks ago the program coordinator told me to apply for apartments relatively soon because they fill up rather quickly. I just applied for the Conover apartments last week, hopefully I get a spot!
Good to see someone else from the Economics program. I have also applied to the Conover Apartments. I also hear that College Town Apartment are good and fairly close to the Econ Department.

Hi there! So, finally there's a little activity on UD at The Grad Café. I'm also 95% sure I'll be attending. My PhD is on applied math. I'm an international student, so I must be there by July 12, and I still don't know where I'll be staying. I will be arranging housing via Internet and without previously visiting the place, which is kind of weird. Any of you are aware of the approximate cost of living?
Not sure of the cost. I'm an international student too so if you find out let me know.

I am 95% sure I will be attending UDEL for PhD in Education! Where are you thinking about living?
I'm thinking about Conover or the University Courtyard. A little worried about the roomate thing. What about you?

Anybody going to UDel? I'm going to do a PhD in Economics

I would say it depends on the relationship. I limited my choice of schools to those close to my man, got rejected by all of them and then he dumped me because he felt I wasn't "ambitious" enough.
