  1. I am finishing up my first year (pre-reqs) at NYU and am starting to cringe at the debt I am accruing. When I chose to go, it was the only school that had accepted me and was my *dream* school so I decided to take the plunge. I had a partial scholarship for the first year but was not able to get any funding for my next year. I had applied to other schools for the fall but did not get into a single one! My question is, should I take a year off and work, apply to schools for next year and hope that I can get in amidst the fierce competition? OR should I just bite the bullet and finish out the NYU program and accept my debt? I know that I may be able to do the Public Service Loan forgiveness program but I am not certain if all of my loans will qualify.
  2. I believe it does, at least you will be licensed in New York. Its on the supplemental info sheet which is here: http://steinhardt.nyu.edu/faq/csd/CSDM_supplemental_info
  3. I am also thinking about housing..I heard that they have some good resources for off campus housing but you do have to wait to be an official student to access them online

    NYU!

Its one of the only schools with a study abroad program. Plus, I couldn't miss the chance to move from a small town to a big city

    NYU!

Just decided to go to NYU too! Anyone else going to be in their Speech Pathology MS program?
  6. I got into the MA program for NYU Steinhardt which is very exciting but I am not so sure that the price tag that I would have to pay is worth the name/opportunities for research. Anyone have a better grasp on whether or not the program is worth the money? I really wanted to go there for the study abroad opportunity but taking out that much in loans might be more than I want to handle.
